Malibu, LA & Hollywood
We only spent one day between LA and Hollywood and for me it was plenty. It was neat to see the Hollywood sign and to drive past the Dolby theatre where they have the Oscars and to see Beverly Hills.
LA has way to many people and the city is dirty. It did have a lot of great restaurants tho. Beverly Hills of course was nicer, we had ice cream at ice cream lab on Santa Monica Blvd, so that was pretty cool.
If I'd had more time I would have enjoyed doing some shopping damage in BH!
The RV park in Malibu overlooks the ocean on a cliff but is across the street. It's really a great spot and the staff is super nice.
I had mixed feelings about Malibu at first but I think it's because I needed to get the yuck from LA out of my mind.
Malibu is a splendid place. Most of the beaches are not as nice as what we're accustomed to on the Florida Gulf Coast, that is until you visit Zuma beach. WOW!!! What a fantastic beach.
While there today I witnessed two life guards save a kid's life after he went out to far and started to get sucked out to sea.
Ian was off on a 12 hour fishing trip so I had the day to myself, which was great since he gets antsy if I make him lounge on a beach for to long.
The vintage grocery in Malibu is like a small whole foods, only 10 times better. We saw Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers at the meat counter in the store, that was interesting.
There's plenty of high end shopping in Malibu as well, although I stuck to the beach and avoided the temptation to buy things I don't need.
We had dinner at Mr. Chow on our last night. It was random, we went to the country market area (a must visit) and picked based on urbsnsppon reviews. I'd heard of Mr. Chow but didn't realize quite how nice it would be. Thank God Malibu is a casual town because we were in shorts and tank tops. The service was the best we've ever had and the food was out of this world. To make the night even better, about 10 min after we were seated, David Arquette and his daughter were seated at the table right next to ours. If I looked up I was looking at David Arquette. He's quite handsome in person.
I would definitely visit Malibu again.

Scientology is a big deal in LA there are offices everywhere inviting you in off the street for a personality test
