Micanopy, FL
Ian and I spent a few hours yesterday with Taylor exploring the tiny town of Micanopy, FL.
It's known as the town that time forgot. The town consist of a small scatter of buildings with private residences, a handful of antique shops and a few restaurants. It's quaint!
Multiple times Ian said "what did I get myself into" as Tay and I floated in and out of shops. Eventually he fell asleep on a bench.

this was taken before Darwin had surgery
I need one of these porch bed swi gs in my life.

Ian passed out, on his way to being sick

This is what Pepper does in protest when we leave him behind and take the pups out
Later in the evening we scooped Adam up and we all went to dinner. We took the pups with us to a restaurant that had an outdoor patio since we planned to take Darwin to the UF Vet clinic afterwards.
The coincidence of multiple injuries and illness between our pets and the men folk is a little weird.
Adam crushed and split a finger last week in an accident on the farm where he works. Unfortunately it required surgery and lots and lots of IV antibiotics. Taylor may have missed her calling as a nurse! One of Tay's cats has an eye infection and the other has anemia and low blood calcium.
On our end we had Darwin's surgery and now Ian is super sick with a cold.
Seems like one thing after another.
Thankfully we're only an hour and a half outside of Charleston. I drove most of the way but my only 4 hours of broken sleep last night started to catch up with me, so Ian took over.
Tonight we're going to watch the debate and I think tomorrow has to be our low-key recovery day.
Other crappy things that happened today.
- I forgot my towel when I went to use the camp shower. T-shirts are very absorbent!
- Starbucks forgot my chocolate chips in my chocolate chip banana oatmeal.
- Ian and I got in a ridiculous debate over the meaning of suffering. Lol (I was right)
