Santa Maria dei Miracoli — "The Church of Miracles"

Sitting quietly beside the canal, the church almost looks unreal. The entire façade is covered in pale marble that glows against the darker brick buildings around it. It feels less like a church and more like a jewel box hidden inside Venice.

Inside, the marble, symmetry, ornate ceilings, and warm golden light make the whole space feel almost delicate. It's hard to believe buildings this beautiful have existed here for centuries while people walk past them every day on their way to work or home.

Afterwards, Courtney and I went to a Venetian cooking class, where we learned how to make pasta and tiramisu.

Venice really did feel like a dream.
