What a month, week, day!

Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park, Florida · September 24, 2016

We pulled out of Lakeland FL today to begin our 7 week adventure mostly along the eastern cost of the country.

Last night around midnight when we were still working, Ian looked up with light of the computer screen glowing in his face and said "being an adult is hard". I laughed because I hear this from our kids all the time.

Because, we weren't quite finished with our latest project and had to tie up lose ends getting our own home listed for sale too, we ended up leaving a day later than planned.

We made the just over 2 hour drive north to our first stop at Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park. We picked this park because of its close proximity to our oldest daughter Taylor and her boyfriend Adam.

We haven't spent much time exploring the park yet but plan to take the dogs on a long walk in the morning, hopefully it'll be cool outside. We're looking forward to seeing bison and wild horses.

We spent this evening with Taylor and Adam and enjoyed dinner at a restaurant near their home called Civilization. Tay opened some birthday presents (early) and we hung out at their house for awhile.

Hopefully tonight we'll get more than 5 hours of sleep. Thankfully there's no work waiting for us in the morning! Yippee!!!

I'll get down to the picture taking tomorrow when we explore the adorable town of Micanopy.
