Via Ferrata degli Alpini — Col dei Bos
Today I climbed Via Ferrata degli Alpini. Less hiking, more climbing — this one throws you right into it. The route starts near Passo Falzarego, around 2,060 meters, and climbs about 500 meters of elevation gain up the western ridge of Col dei Bos to a 2,559-meter summit. The opening stretch doesn't ease you in: a couple of legs went straight up for about 100 meters. Somewhere in there you pass the remains of old WWI field hospitals from when this pass was fought over — stone ruins still sitting where soldiers left them.
This climb was awesome.
We're off to Florence tomorrow.
